Who we are
SOS 30 Mins provides pay-on-use vehicle and breakdown recovery. In this policy, “SOS 30 Mins”, “we” and “us” mean the team operating this website and the related recovery service.
For privacy questions, contact info@sos30mins.co.uk.
Information you choose to share
When you call, use our WhatsApp handoff or email us about recovery, we may receive information such as your name, contact details, vehicle registration or description, location, destination, the problem with the vehicle and details needed to arrange or support the job.
If you choose the exact-location WhatsApp flow, the website may record the GPS coordinates and device-reported accuracy that you choose to share so SOS 30 Mins can identify the pickup point, support dispatch and keep the recovery request connected to the same operational record.
The recovery-network form on the website prepares an email in your own email app. The details remain in your browser until you copy them or choose to open the email draft. If you send that email, we receive the information in it.
How we use information
- To answer enquiries and arrange, coordinate or support vehicle recovery.
- To confirm availability, pricing, destinations and arrival information.
- To connect website contact attempts, calls, quotes, bookings and completed jobs so we can operate and improve the recovery service.
- To review recovery-network applications and communicate with operators.
- To operate, secure and improve this website and respond to legal or safety requirements.
We do not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles unrelated to the service you ask about.
Google services and the Google Ads API
SOS 30 Mins may use Google services to administer its own advertising. The SOS Auto Google Ads MCP is an internal, read-only tool for authorised users to review SOS 30 Mins Google Ads account and campaign information. It is not offered as a public service and does not sell or aggregate advertising data.
Where Google OAuth is used, Google processes authentication and access according to its own policies. An authorised user can review or revoke access from their Google Account security settings.
Sharing and retention
We may share relevant job information with a recovery operator or other service provider needed to fulfil your request, and with public authorities where required for safety or law. We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including records needed for accounting, complaints, disputes or legal obligations.
Website technology
SOS 30 Mins may retain first-party operational records such as an anonymous session identifier, contact-button interactions and recovery details you deliberately share so we can connect an enquiry to the resulting job and measure service performance. This operational record is separate from optional advertising and analytics storage.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement to understand visits, campaign performance and interactions such as phone-link taps.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website through interaction analytics, heatmaps and session recordings. Our integration uses an anonymous SOS session identifier and contextual tags such as acquisition source and page type. We do not intentionally send customer names, phone numbers, vehicle registrations, pickup locations or destination details to Clarity as custom identifiers or tags. Clarity follows the same cookie choice shown on this website; when optional analytics storage is rejected, it is instructed not to use analytics or advertising cookies.
You can accept or reject optional analytics cookies when you visit the website, and reopen Cookie settings at any time to change your choice.
Our hosting providers may also process standard technical information such as an IP address, browser type and request time in security and operational logs.
Visit statistics (no cookie needed, free opt-out)
To improve our recovery pages, we keep simple first-party statistics about visits: the pages viewed, the service or town page, device type (phone, tablet or computer), operating system and browser with their main version where your browser reveals it, a rough screen-size group, and an approximate country, region or town worked out by our hosting provider from your network. Network location is often wrong on mobile data and is never your exact position.
We do not store your IP address, the full browser text, your device model, advertising click IDs, or any cross-site or long-term identifier, and we do not use this for advertising. These statistics are kept for up to 90 days. Your exact location is only used if you choose to share it.
Pressing a call button is recorded as a button tap only. It is not treated as a call unless our phone provider confirms the call.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or to object to a particular use. Contact us first at info@sos30mins.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
